This program is designed to:

a) enable students to understand the geology of the Earth and the basic courses in geology and geophysics.
b) develop to the fullest possible extent students’ knowledge of the Earth and the appli-cations of geophysics in petroleum exploration, economic, environmental issues and water investigation.
c) assess the student’s descriptive, observational and interpretational skills.
d) provide knowledge-base and skills that they will require in further study and research work.
