In addition to the general attributes of the graduate of Faculties of Sciences in Egypt and the re-gion, graduates of the chemistry / geology program should be able to:
a)
Recognize the knowledge-base background and skills that will be required in work and conduct scientific research in subjects connecting both fields,
b)
Demonstrate to the fullest possible extent knowledge of the Chemistry and Earth Sciences, as well as the applications of both sciences in earth composition and development, petroleum, eco-nomic, environmental issues and prospecting for earth resources.
c)
Develop relative descriptive, observational and interpretational skills.
d)
Employ theories, basics and concepts of inorganic chemistry to deduce geological processes taking place in depth and on the Earth’ surface,
e)
Use the different laboratory technqiues known in study relevant subjects in a safe way,
f)
Adhere to the quality control processes, risk management and fair implementation of research and industrial projects,
g)
Relate essential theories and concepts of basics sciences to comprehend modern geological and chemical subjects.
h)
Realize the relationship and interactions among chemistry, geology and the environment and abide by the legislations and ethics related to welfare and safety of the humankind and environ.
